Coating, Painting, and Spraying Machine Operator utilizes a sprayer to apply paint to a variety of products. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Being a Coating, Painting, and Spraying Machine Operator may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Coating, Painting, and Spraying Machine Operator relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. PRIMARY EMPLOYMENT OBJECTIVES
Under general direction, performs a variety of routine, yet critical activities associated with lens coating (dip, flow coating, and anti-fog coatings). The Coating Operator will monitor the Coating Line, both visually and via computer to insure proper operation and note any exceptions to this. This person will also interface with Coating Technicians and Engineers providing both verbal and documented accounts of the Coating Line Performance.

Equipment Used:
Current laboratory technology and hard coating technology equipment, and chemical test equipment. PC software applications and standard office equipment.
