Co-Pilot (Small Non-Jet) assists captain of the aircraft (non-jet smaller than 12,500 pounds at takeoff) with flight duties. Supports captain in calculating flight routes, speed, and take off and landing times to ensure aircraft meets scheduling requirements. Being a Co-Pilot (Small Non-Jet) keeps navigation manuals and charts up-to-date. Must stay current with federal and local flight regulations. Additionally, Co-Pilot (Small Non-Jet) must be capable of taking full control of aircraft while in flight. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires FAA pilot certificate with necessary type ratings. Co-Pilot (Small Non-Jet)'s years of experience requirement may be unspecified. This is a two- pilot account supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician flying primarily part 91 with a small amount of 135 flying. Total estimated annual flying is 150 hours part 91 and 50 hours part 135. Flying may be to business or leisure destinations.
