Cloud Systems Architect is responsible for the design and management of an organization's cloud systems, applications, policies, and strategy. Evaluates and identifies the best cloud solutions for the organization. Being a Cloud Systems Architect develops and modifies scalable architecture to support applications and infrastructure-as-a-service (IAAS) and platform-as-a-service (PAAS) platforms. Ensures the security and compliance of cloud environments, including data protection and privacy. Additionally, Cloud Systems Architect monitors and analyzes cloud infrastructure performance to identify and resolve issues proactively. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud-based environments for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. Designs controls and processes that utilize available audit tools. Maintains up-to-date and extensive knowledge of cloud products and technology. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Cloud Systems Architect works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in "solution" or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge.   • Responsibilities Include:

    • Fully competent and able to perform independently on a variety of assignments requiring skills in all conventional aspects of architectural design.
    • Work under the direction of senior staff to document project requirements.
    • Understand and document compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
    • Prepare design deliverables as directed by senior staff.
    • Coordinate architectural design and/or models with consulting engineering design.
    • Understand and prepare architectural detailing requisite to project document production.
    • Participate in technical discussions with contractor, consultants, project teams, and clients.
    • Prepare project specifications by compiling and analyzing relevant data.
    • Respond to senior staff direction, comments, and quality control reviews.
    • Periodically observe project construction and reporting on construction document compliance.
    • Maintain company reputation for quality and high standards.

    Architect Level I Qualifications Expected:

    • Required: Current Architectural License (NCARB Certificate not required but preferred).
    • Required: Proficient with model building Codes
    • Required: 3-5 years or more architectural experience.
    • Required: Proficient in Autodesk Revit and a working knowledge of AutoCAD.
    • Required: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Preferred: Good understanding of current AEC CADD Standards and AEC Graphics Standards.
    • Preferred: SketchUp and other rendering software abilities.
