BAE Systems is seeking an experienced Computer Systems Architect to strategically craft an organizational, procedural, and technological total data integration solution for the Sentinel system. The position requires knowledge of data architecture and design, as well as experience with engineering design and manufacturing processes. Successful candidates will possess experience in at least two disciplines: one software/IT related, and one design/engineering related. Applicants must be willing to propose and prototype well thought out solutions to highly complex and integrated problems.
Candidates are expected to develop skills to do Digital Engineering/Digital Threading of requirements, design, manufacturing, and test data for the Sentinel system. Generally speaking, the goal is to incorporate unstructured data from traditional engineering artifacts such as PDFs, Word, Excel documents, and CAD drawings, with modern structured data from SQL databases, commercial applications, and real-time data feeds. The current technical stack includes Siemens TeamCenter for unstructured data, a data integration backbone for interfacing with structured data and application APIs, and a graph database to create a data mesh. Together, these technologies make up a total data fabric. Successful candidates must be able to work with data stewards and subject matter experts to craft a community and standards-based approach to data governance, data engineering, and data integration. 10 years' of experience (8 years' with Master’s degree).

Active DoD Secret Security Clearance adjudicated within the last six (6) years and the ability to obtain and maintain any necessary Special Program Access. The criteria for obtaining Clearance and SAP is set by the US Government.
Experience engineering design or manufacturing.
