Cloud Systems Architect is responsible for the design and management of an organization's cloud systems, applications, policies, and strategy. Evaluates and identifies the best cloud solutions for the organization. Being a Cloud Systems Architect develops and modifies scalable architecture to support applications and infrastructure-as-a-service (IAAS) and platform-as-a-service (PAAS) platforms. Ensures the security and compliance of cloud environments, including data protection and privacy. Additionally, Cloud Systems Architect monitors and analyzes cloud infrastructure performance to identify and resolve issues proactively. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud-based environments for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. Designs controls and processes that utilize available audit tools. Maintains up-to-date and extensive knowledge of cloud products and technology. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Cloud Systems Architect works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in "solution" or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge.     Professional CertificationsCertified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
    Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Security Essentials Certification
    Years of Professional Experience10 years’ experience in cybersecurity
    Desired experienceRisk Management Framework (RMF), Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA), and FedRAMP experience

    Familiarity with: Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) frameworks, Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) (OKTA), Cloud Workload Protection Platform (CWPP), Security Operations Center (SOC) Operations, Vulnerability Threat Management, and Compliance
    Formal EducationMaster of Science degree (or higher) in one of the following: computer science, electronics engineering, computer engineering, computer science, information technology, or cybersecurity. 10 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
    Citizenship RequirementU.S. Citizenship required for this specific opportunity
    Security Clearance RequirementsMust possess or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI)
