Cloud Systems Architect is responsible for the design and management of an organization's cloud systems, applications, policies, and strategy. Evaluates and identifies the best cloud solutions for the organization. Being a Cloud Systems Architect develops and modifies scalable architecture to support applications and infrastructure-as-a-service (IAAS) and platform-as-a-service (PAAS) platforms. Ensures the security and compliance of cloud environments, including data protection and privacy. Additionally, Cloud Systems Architect monitors and analyzes cloud infrastructure performance to identify and resolve issues proactively. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud-based environments for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. Designs controls and processes that utilize available audit tools. Maintains up-to-date and extensive knowledge of cloud products and technology. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Cloud Systems Architect works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in "solution" or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge.     As a Cloud Systems Engineer in the DRAM Engineering group at Micron, you will be working with compute platforms in a data center environment, seeking out different memory failure mechanisms, the predictability of those mechanisms, and their effect on the overall system environment. You will also be responsible for system-level DRAM validation, system characterization, and failure analysis as it pertains to the Cloud space and investigation of different DRAM architectures to improve correctability. Your day-to-day functions may also include: running and configuring diagnostic software, system debugging, crafting experiments, analyzing and interpreting data, crafting custom tools, and communicating data to both internal and external customers.

    Responsibilities and Tasks Include:

    • Collaboration with customers and system enablers on memory fault management in systems (RAS - Reliability, Addressability and Serviceability) 
    • Analysis of large-scale datasets to extract unique insights
    • Maintain a solid understanding of Micron products and customer platforms
    • Continually acquire new skills and knowledge relating to memory, systems and data analytics
    • Characterize, and debug DRAM errors and feedback to internal teams and customers
    • Collaborate with internal and external customers to continually improve design and manufacturing quality
    • Leveraging product datasheets and documentation to deeply understand product and system function
    • The ability to work in a diverse and collaborative team environment
    • Adaptable to a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment with multifaceted demands

    How To Qualify:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
    • 3 years of hardware engineering experience
    • UNIX / Linux operating system experience and understanding
    • Proven experience concerning Data/Statistical Analytics
    • Experience in fields related to datacenters, memory product engineering, system compatibility, and/or semiconductors
    • Object oriented programming (OOP) experience (Python preferred)
    • Familiarity with digital logic circuitry and schematic
    • Experience with creating SQL Database queries 
    • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to convey complex technical concepts to peers and customers
    • Good organizational skills to track and report on multiple ongoing projects
    • Excellent analytical, analysis, and problem-solving skills
