Cloud Systems Architect is responsible for the design and management of an organization's cloud systems, applications, policies, and strategy. Evaluates and identifies the best cloud solutions for the organization. Being a Cloud Systems Architect develops and modifies scalable architecture to support applications and infrastructure-as-a-service (IAAS) and platform-as-a-service (PAAS) platforms. Ensures the security and compliance of cloud environments, including data protection and privacy. Additionally, Cloud Systems Architect monitors and analyzes cloud infrastructure performance to identify and resolve issues proactively. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud-based environments for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. Designs controls and processes that utilize available audit tools. Maintains up-to-date and extensive knowledge of cloud products and technology. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Cloud Systems Architect works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in "solution" or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. Architecture 118 is looking for a qualified Architect to join our team. Ideal candidates are self-motivated and can work through all phases of commercial and residential projects with minimal supervision. Enthusiasm for a small, fast-paced, collaborative office environment is a must.
As a member of an Architecture 118 design team, you will:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and goals for the project
- Develop solutions to meet client and project requirements
- Create detailed 3D models and drawings using Revit and ArchiCAD
- Conduct site visits to assess the feasibility of construction and gather necessary information
- Prepare project proposals and manage scope, schedule, and budget
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure the successful execution of projects
- Oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and building codes
- Review and approve material samples, finishes, and other design elements
- Provide guidance and support to junior architects and interns
A qualified candidate will have:
- An accredited degree in Architecture
- License to practice in Montana preferred
- Proven experience as an Architect, with a portfolio of successful projects
- Proficiency with Revit, ArchiCAD, and common business software
- Strong drafting and sketching skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to negotiate with clients, contractors, and vendors
- Knowledge of business development principles in the architecture industry
- Familiarity with construction estimating and project management processes
