Being a Cloud Systems Architect develops and modifies scalable architecture to support applications and infrastructure-as-a-service (IAAS) and platform-as-a-service (PAAS) platforms. Ensures the security and compliance of cloud environments, including data protection and privacy. Additionally, Cloud Systems Architect monitors and analyzes cloud infrastructure performance to identify and resolve issues proactively. Peraton is seeking a Cloud Security Architect to support a large Government Contract.
This position will be the senior security person supporting a large cloud hosting environment to ensure a secure migration and operation of the client’s cloud hosting environment. The selected candidate will be expected to lead and direct the program’s security efforts which include: legacy applications will be modernized and moved into the cloud hosting environment under an Agile DevSecOps methodology utilizing continuous development and testing during the modernization process, to include migrating to multiple cloud service providers.
Responsible for the design, development, and implementation of both short and long-term solutions to organization and/or customer information technology needs through new and existing applications, system architecture, network systems, and applications infrastructure. Employees design, develop, implement, and oversee IT products including but not limited to hardware, software, and networks. Employees may install, configure, administer, upgrade, and maintain security for the organization and/or the customers the organization supports.
The Cloud Security Architect’s primary responsibilities include:• Collaborate with Government Stakeholders to gather requirements.• Design, document and implement security protocols with AWS and other potential Cloud Service Providers.• Develop platform security plan deliverables.• Ensure appropriate security monitoring, auditing and reporting is applied enterprise-wide.• Implement software security scanning policies as one part of software pipeline. Position is Remote with some travel to customer sites expected.
Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D.
