Cloud Systems Analyst is responsible for the design and management of an organization's cloud systems, applications, policies, and strategy. Evaluates and identifies the best cloud solutions for the organization. Being a Cloud Systems Analyst develops and modifies scalable architecture to support applications and infrastructure-as-a-service (IAAS) and platform-as-a-service (PAAS) platforms. Ensures the security and compliance of cloud environments, including data protection and privacy. Additionally, Cloud Systems Analyst monitors and analyzes cloud infrastructure performance to identify and resolve issues proactively. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud-based environments for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. Designs controls and processes that utilize available audit tools.     Ultra Maritime is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst - Oracle who is an experienced professional with strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

    This is an exciting time to join the Ultra Maritime US organization as we are about to embark on a large-scale Business Improvement Program which will have a significant impact on how we currently use the ERP system. This role would suit someone who is looking for the opportunity to make a big impact on the organization in a time of great change and investment.

    This individual will play a critical role in helping to ensure that all of the company's Oracle applications (Agile, EBS & BI publisher) are operating at peak performance across all sites, as well as providing support to meet business needs. The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of the Oracle platform and its capabilities and be able to provide creative solutions to meet business requirements.

    This position will also be responsible for working cross-functionally with Finance, Accounting, Planning, Quality, Operations, Document Control, IT, Purchasing and Engineering, and take ownership of application maintenance, and integration between Agile/PLM applications, ERP, and other software applications.

    As a member of the IT Team, this role will report to and work closely with the Global IT Apps Director in aligning site priorities for implementation of the global IT strategy, advising on local requirements, compliance, or regulatory requirements along with any local challenges as identified.

    Job Description

    Key responsibilities

    • Manage Agile PLM and implement system/business process improvements
    • Interface Agile with other applications, and provide on-going support
    • Take ownership of the PLM area and lead projects to deliver tangible value
    • Collaborate with cross functional teams and recommend best practices
    • Work closely with the key stakeholders to understand requirements, manage software technical specifications and design documents, and develop and test the PLM applications and automations.
    • Manage user setup, security, and other configuration.
    • Support improvement initiatives, working with the business to identify improvement areas, system update testing, month-end/quarter-end closing support, Batch process verification, and Audit support.
    • Work to evaluate, escalate and resolve issues/defects using judgement/initiative.
    • Implement business improvement activities from initiation to implementation phase including gathering requirements, writing functional design documents, communicating requirements to technical team members, writing test scripts, implementing, and training end users and IT support staff.
    • Work on all areas of E-Business suite with expert knowledge on Order Management, Receivables, Shipping, Oracle Advanced Pricing, EDI, Inventory, Purchasing and working knowledge on Service Contracts, Bills of Material, Work-in-Process, and Supply Chain.
    • Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of the existing system(s) and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
    • Liaise with the Director of Business Strategy & Apps to prepare business cases which define potential benefits, options for achieving these benefits through development of new or changed processes, and associated business risks.
    • Performs QA reviews of configurations for implementations or changes.
    • Manage the maintenance, patches, upgrades, and overall health of business applications.
    • Provide orientation, mentoring and training for applications, changes and/or enhancements.
    • Guide team in developing reports, customizations, interfaces, and extensions for Oracle applications.
    • Ensure compliance with company's security policies and procedures.
    • Able to identify key business requirements with minimal information by quickly identifying key players and asking the right questions.
    • Use data analysis and modelling techniques to develop and maintain data structures to support business solutions, ensuring adherence to corporate data standards and provide advice and guidance to developers.
    • Assist end users with day-to-day applications troubleshooting and end user questions.
    • Establishes and facilitates communication with other teams in order to manage inter-dependencies or requirements.
    • Maintain excellent communication with on-site Leadership & Director of Apps.
    • Communicate with customers, peers, team, and managers regarding incident and change management in a timely fashion always ensuring effective management of expectations.
    • Monitor Global Ticket system for Oracle related issues and proactively manage them with regular updates to customer.
    • Create ad hoc reports.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications / skills required

    Essential Technical Skills:

    • Excellent knowledge of Oracle EBS (12.1.3), Oracle PLM (9.3.3), Oracle Database Enterprise edition and BI Publisher (11.1.1.7) including support of all purchased modules and:
      • System Administration - General Support and Troubleshooting
      • Backend Administration - Server/Environment, Patching and Support, Back-ups/Restore
      • Access Control - Administration of User Access Rights/Permissions
      • Tech Development - Development of Custom Objects, Events, Lobbies\Reports, etc.
      • Data Manipulation - Data Migration & Mass Updates
      • Licensing - Management of tool licensing for OS, DB etc
      • BC/DR - High Availability and DR setup and monitoring
    • Must have minimum of 5 years of experience in coding, scripting, and related software activities in a global enterprise:
      • Agile Client code
      • Agile web services
      • Java-based web applications
      • Agile SDK-based customization
      • High level of proficiency in developing Java web applicatio
    • Knowledge and understanding of Document Control, Manufacturing, and Engineering in manufacturing companies, including a solid understanding of the Agile PLM Business process with respect to the manufacturing domain
    • Familiarity with Core Java, Java Script, Java/J2EE, UI-Swing, Eclipse, Agile API, Excel API experience with ability to build Java-based interfaces and reporting.
    • Experience supporting Agile PLM interfaces to other systems
    • Experience generating reports in Agile PLM
    • Experience in leading projects and project management
    • Hands-on experience with SQL and PL SQL scripts
    • Helpdesk Support - Operation & Administration
    • Production of documentation for developed solutions and fixes
    • Training, development, and mentoring of other team members & colleagues.
    • Excellent knowledge of IT business processes and ability to act as a driver of improvements with a demonstrated ability to initiate and follow through on process improvements.
    • Proven track record in problem solving, identifying and confronting problems (even when the problem occurs outside own domain), proposing the best, and most cost-effective solutions.
    • Wide understanding of software development life cycle and approaches (especially working in an Agile environment)
    • Detailed knowledge of corporate data standards
    • B.A. / B.S or 5 Years of related experience in supporting business applications.

    • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and/or holidays if required.
