Cloud Systems Analyst is responsible for the design and management of an organization's cloud systems, applications, policies, and strategy. Evaluates and identifies the best cloud solutions for the organization. Being a Cloud Systems Analyst develops and modifies scalable architecture to support applications and infrastructure-as-a-service (IAAS) and platform-as-a-service (PAAS) platforms. Ensures the security and compliance of cloud environments, including data protection and privacy. Additionally, Cloud Systems Analyst monitors and analyzes cloud infrastructure performance to identify and resolve issues proactively. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud-based environments for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. Designs controls and processes that utilize available audit tools. Maintains up-to-date and extensive knowledge of cloud products and technology. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Working independently under minimal supervision, the systems and development analyst 3 develops, tests, troubleshoots, documents, administers, and implements complex integrations involving SaaS applications, external and internal systems. Utilizes existing or new technology in the automation of processes. Evaluates application functionality and provides recommendations to management for continuous process improvement.
Typical Duties
Analyses existing integration flows and identifies opportunities for improvement.
Develop and maintain continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools for deploying integrations.
Perform on call duties, analyze, and triage integration failures.
Develop and maintain integration flows, including creating and configuring connections with a variety of third-party systems.
Provides technical support; problem determination and investigation; implementation of software patches and upgrades for commercial (vendor) applications.
Write, test, debug, and deploy code or scripts to production environments, ensuring timely delivery of solutions and fixes.
Support client server applications both thick and thin clients, and web applications.
Conduct research and fact-finding to develop or modify applications; work with vendors to review quality, adaptability, compatibility, and reliability of their products.
Provides some technical responsibility for an application involving multiple support personnel that is critical to the operation of the business; or serves as a technical leader providing extensive knowledge and skill in a unique technical area.
Designs, codes, tests, documents, implements, and maintains moderately complex applications, scripts, integrations, and CI/CD pipelines.
Provide customer support for software applications and integrations.
Work with vendors to resolve problems with software and implement agreed upon recommendations for improvement and enhancement.
Consult with application users, evaluate user requests for new or enhanced applications and associated integrations to determine feasibility, cost and time required, compatibility with current systems and resources.
Research and analyze strategies, programs, and processes across and between all corporate functions.
Perform basic system analysis and design functions, handle critical development issues, research and analyze data.
May guide other analysts in the completion of assigned projects. Provides technical input to assist in project planning and execution.
Performs any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.
Bachelor's degree in management information systems (MIS), computer science or related technical field or equivalent work experience. (Typically, six years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree.)
Prior Job Experience: A minimum of five years of experience in architecting and designing integrations. Experience working in the Oracle SOA Suite, Managed File Transfer (MFT), Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and Oracle Fusion or similar application functionality would be a plus.
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Applications Integration Associate or Professional certification would be preferred.
Well versed in web services and XML technologies (WSDL, SOAP, API, REST, XML, XSD, XSLT, WS-Security).
Experience with calling and consuming RESTful APIs, connecting to file systems, loading, and parsing data, mapping different data formats from and to JSON and XML.
Experience building Oracle Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS) applications would be a plus.
Unix Shell Scripting and automation experience is preferable.
Experience and proficiency with Linux Operating Systems, scripting languages including Bash or Python, troubleshooting and problem-solving.
Experience with Git source control systems including security and branching strategies.
A minimum of five years of experience in systems analysis or software application development.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Demonstrated knowledge of programming in client/server, mainframe or web development environment.
Demonstrated knowledge of information technology terms, equipment, systems, functions and major vendors.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
Availability for periodic on-call responsibilities.
Experience integrating Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) solutions within an environment with strong change and release management processes and procedures.
Technical knowledge with experience developing in Oracle and Microsoft SQL databases.
Demonstrated knowledge of relational database technology.
Technical knowledge with experience developing in .NET and other current computing programming languages.
