POSITION SUMMARY:
Tampa Bay Medical Research is a long standing clinical research site with 30 years of experience conducting clinical research trials in the Tampa Bay community. We are currently looking for a research assistant to work with our clinical research coordinators.
We are hiring for our Clearwater office and our Largo office.
The Research Assistant will work closely with the clinical research coordinators and medical director to prepare charts, edit source documents, obtain vitals/anthropometric measurements, EKGs and blood draws in compliance with all applicable regulations including federal and state regulations, standards of good clinical practice and institutional review board (IRB) requirements. Research assistant will be involved in all aspects of conducting a research trial, from the pre-study planning preparation to study recruitment, screening, enrollment and retention/followup of study participants. Research assistant will be working as part of a team and assisting staff as needed.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Candidate will need strong experience in phlebotomy skills. Up to 10-15 patients will needs labs a day and specimens will need to processed, packaged and shipped on a daily basis. We are looking for a research assistant who is eager to be part of a team to help improve efficiency of clinic flow. Candidate must be a team player who is willing to bring innovative ideas to the table and is willing to learn new tasks and skills. Salary is negotiable.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Laboratory setup and maintenance
· Highly knowledgeable about the laboratory manuals for each study being conducted, including processing and shipping information.
· Following up on lab queries
· Obtain vitals and anthropometric measurements
· Sanitize and stock treatment rooms and exam rooms
· File, organize and prepare patient charts
· Enter patient information into Research database
· Contact interested patient for research studies
· Schedule study participant visits in accordance with protocol requirements
