Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

The Candidate will manage and facilitate the growth of health research sciences from agencies such as National Institutes of Health (NIH), Center for Disease Control (CDC), Department of Defense (DoD) and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and assist in coordinating, establishing, and overseeing future research ventures.

Qualifications

• PhD or commensurate qualifications in Health Related Science.
• Experience with RFAs and assembling multi-PI research teams.
• Leadership experience in an academic setting.
• Strong written communication, oral communication, and presentation skills.
• Proven experience in developing and leading a collaborative team, and in collaborating and leading teams across and throughout large and diverse organizations.
• Demonstrate a track record of research funding and leadership of faculty focus research in alignment with the University’s strategic plan.
• Ability to read and interpret sponsors’ requirements in terms of proposal needs.
• Knowledge of Federal and State agencies guidelines and regulations.
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with faculty, staff and various funding agencies.
