A three time “Women’s Choice Award” Winning Hospital for Obstetrics that is nationally-recognized for excellent prenatal care is seeking a highly motivated and experienced RN to fill their opening for a Labor and Delivery Nurse Educator. Not only would this Nurse Educator be joining a facility with a state-of-the-art Women’s and Children’s Unit, this Clinical Educator would also be delivering high patient care in a highly-sought after location. The ideal Obstetrics Clinical Educator will have Labor and Delivery experience from an acute care facility. Experience as a charge nurse, unit supervisor, educator, or well-tenured Labor and Delivery RN will provide a strong background for a candidate looking to pursue this role. The Labor and Delivery educator will play a crucial role in training and guiding nurses to provide the highest level of patient care with the best in evidence-based practices. Additional job responsibilities include curriculum development, plan & supervising clinical rotations, offer guidance and mentorship to new nurses, and ensure regulatory requirements.

The Clinical Educator of Obstetrics will be joining a 200 patient bed, short term acute care, Joint Commission Accredited Hospital. This Clinical Educator will be joining a department that consists of a Level IV NICU, labor and delivery rooms, antepartum rooms, triage rooms, and post-partum rooms. The Labor and Delivery Nurse Educator will provide trainings for anywhere from 30-60 employees including Registered Nurses, Techs, and Support Staff and will report to the Manager of Women & Infant Services.
