The CMM Operator will ensure our customers receive quality products by working with Manufacturing and Quality Assurance to investigate problems, gather samples, audit processes, and otherwise communicating customer quality expectations to the team.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities Include:
• Performing dimensional evaluations using fixtures, hand instruments and the CMM equipment.
• Write programs for CMM’s using PCDMIS to do automated measurements.
• Complete dimensional documentation on all PPAP’s.
• Complete documentation on all fixture certifications and/or modifications.
• Complete documentation on all calibrations of fixtures and gauges that may be used in-house, to include repairs.
• Provide technical support for any quality issues, as well as support Engineering on all prototype parts and fixture designs.
• Work with customer(s) on quality concerns, if necessary.
• Provide training on usage of all fixtures and provide support to quality functions of production.
• Conduct CPK studies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Advanced mathematical concepts such as trigonometry, exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations and permutations.
• Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory and factory analysis.
• Ability to apply understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

Requirements
• Associates degree from two-year college or technical school
• Minimum 2 years of experience operating CMM machine
• Minimum 5 years programming utilizing PCDMIS
• Extensive knowledge of blueprint reading with strong background in math
• GD&T Training Certificate or 5 years documented training
• Certified Quality Technician Certification preferred
