Clinical Pharmacist directs and develops research of existing and new prescription drugs and conducts utilization reviews to develop guidelines for usage, prior authorization, and updates to formulary. Monitors patient data on drug therapies outcomes, reactions, and errors. Being a Clinical Pharmacist provides education and outreach to medical staff on prescribing guidelines, alternative drug therapies, and risk mitigation. Administers a prior authorization program. Additionally, Clinical Pharmacist requires a doctorate degree in pharmacy (Pharm.D.). Typically reports to a manager or supervisor. Requires Registered Pharmacist (RPh). Title: Clinical Pharmacist

This position will be remote but you may need to come onsite for meetings so ideally candidates are located in NJ, but not required.
Candidates must have a high-speed, reliable internet connection and a quiet and private working environment.

Responsibilities:
Consults with nursing and medical staff on prescription orders, patient reactions, and errors or complaints. Conducts drug utilization reviews and prepares drug review criteria for medical staff approval. PharmD degree preferred.
Responsible for understanding the deliverables of a new client contract from a clinical perspective.
Participate in Client Installation meetings
Responsible for the successful implementation of new client clinical programs, complete understanding of Express Script's clinical product portfolio
Identify and document client requirements and complete clinical portion of installation project plans
Escalates any post installation issues and risks as necessary
Escalates any Installation or clinical program related risks to Sr. Managers
Participate in weekly client review forums
Coordinate Clinical Installation Activity with internal functional areas
Manage Clinical Post Installation Issues

Focus on problem solving abilities
Prefer already working Pharmacist (no requirement on the number of years experience needed)

Education:
