CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER manages the collection and analysis of clinical outcomes data to develop clinical process improvement initiatives. Oversees staff who gather data on performance metrics and facilitates the review of clinical program effectiveness. Being a CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER provides advanced analyses and reports on clinical outcomes data. Evaluates and summarizes patient data to ensure that care is provided in accordance with clinical guidelines and organizational standards. Additionally, CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER identifies areas for improvement and assists leaders/physicians in developing strategies to improve performance. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare related area. May require a Registered Nurse (RN) license. Typically reports to a director. The CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. In addition, this 100 bed hospital is accredited in many areas, but notably has a glowing record in their Lab Department. This well respected hospital is state of the art and has earned multiple awards for collaboration efforts and quality and patient care. The Hospital Lab Manager will join an organization with an outstanding reputation in the community and across the Southwest.

    The Hospital Lab Manager will report directly to the Director of Laboratory Services. Supported by 2 assistant managers and several tenured Laboratory Scientists, this person will lead a fantastic team and busy department with over 30 FTEs. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in the hospital laboratory setting and certification as a Medical Technologist (ASCP).

    The Hospital Lab Manager will be in charge of overseeing that testing provided by Lab Scientists and Technicians is efficient and thorough. This involves keeping staff up to date with current best practices and making sure they are following guidelines set by the hospital and overseeing technical, administrative and operational management in the hospital laboratory. In addition, the position requires collaboration with the Director of Laboratory Services to achieve the highest level of operational and clinical efficiency that aligns with the hospital’s standards and values, as well as CAP, CLIA, OSHA, HIPAA, and state Medical Test Site Licensure requirements. The Hospital Lab Manager will also be responsible for audits, assisting in standardizing lab procedures, and compliance.
