CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER manages the collection and analysis of clinical outcomes data to develop clinical process improvement initiatives. Oversees staff who gather data on performance metrics and facilitates the review of clinical program effectiveness. Being a CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER provides advanced analyses and reports on clinical outcomes data. Evaluates and summarizes patient data to ensure that care is provided in accordance with clinical guidelines and organizational standards. Additionally, CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER identifies areas for improvement and assists leaders/physicians in developing strategies to improve performance. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare related area. May require a Registered Nurse (RN) license. Typically reports to a director. The CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Reporting to the Nurse Director Perioperative Services, the Nurse Manager Operating Room will lead a tight-knit team of OR Charge Nurses and Staff RNs. The Sr. Nurse Manager Surgical Services will oversee the Operating Room, PACU, Endoscopy, Same-Day Outpatient Services, Sterile Processing, and Anesthesia departments. Cardiac experience is a huge plus for this large hospital with 15 ORs specializing in Orthopedics, Cardiac, Spine, GI, Neurosurgery, and more.

    The OR Manager will provide collaborative leadership for the process of planning, directing, integrating and coordinating activities to achieve departmental objectives and maintain high quality services. The Nurse Manager of Surgery will be responsible for personnel management, budget planning and monitoring, scheduling, systems improvement, compliance with regulatory requirements and strategic planning. 

    The ideal Surgical Services Nurse Manager will have previous management or supervisory experience, in addition to experience as an Operating Room Nurse. The Perioperative Services Nursing Manager will prepare annual budgets, develop spreadsheets, monitor and analyze financial information and implement operational changes to meet budget targets.  Though the Medical Center is one of the busiest in the region, the Nurse Manager will be required to assist in growing the service line and creating and maintaining physician relations.
