CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER manages the collection and analysis of clinical outcomes data to develop clinical process improvement initiatives. Oversees staff who gather data on performance metrics and facilitates the review of clinical program effectiveness. Being a CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER provides advanced analyses and reports on clinical outcomes data. Evaluates and summarizes patient data to ensure that care is provided in accordance with clinical guidelines and organizational standards. Additionally, CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER identifies areas for improvement and assists leaders/physicians in developing strategies to improve performance. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare related area. May require a Registered Nurse (RN) license. Typically reports to a director. The CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Reporting to the Senior Director of Cardiovascular Services, the Nurse Manager Cardiac ICU will join the critical care team and be supported by a team of Assistant Nurse Managers, Supervisor, Charge Nurses, specialized Staff RN, LPN, CNA, CMA, technicians, and other ancillary staff. Responsibilities of the Nurse Manager Cardiac ICU may include managing the budget, department staffing (screening, interviewing, hiring, and scheduling), preparing accreditation and survey material, ensuring state and federal regulatory compliance, updating policy procedures, developing educational curriculum, and cross collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

    The Nurse Manager Cardiac ICU will manage a very fast-paced critical care unit with a post-op open heart, IABP (balloon pump, CRRT, Therapeutic Hypothermia) population and a 1:1 staffing ratio. The ideal Nurse Manager Cardiac ICU is an effective leader in high-stress, fast paced environments, and up to date on technology, techniques and best practices involved with working in a CVICU unit. The Nurse Manager Cardiac ICU is a strategic thinker, innovator, and leader who is excited to grow, educate, and mentor their team for long-term success.

    Requirements

    • BSN Required. Master’s degree (or actively enrolled) preferred
    • Clinical Background working in an inpatient Critical Care unit. CVICU preferred.
    • Previous clinical leadership experience working as a Nurse Manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, Supervisor or Charge Nurse
