Clinical Outcomes Director directs in-depth analysis of clinical outcomes data to develop clinical process improvement initiatives. Oversees and leads staff who gather data on performance metrics and facilitates the review of clinical program effectiveness. Being a Clinical Outcomes Director creates, defines, and implements performance metrics to review program effectiveness. Evaluates patient data to ensure that care is provided in accordance with clinical guidelines and organizational standards. Additionally, Clinical Outcomes Director identifies opportunities and provides recommendations to improve program delivery, patient outcomes, and operational efficiency. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare related area. May require a Registered Nurse (RN) license. Typically reports to senior management. The Clinical Outcomes Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.     JOB SUMMARY

    The Clinical Outcomes Analyst will collect clinical outcomes data and perform analysis in support of clinical process improvement initiatives and program outcomes. He/she/they will work with program leadership to evaluate the effectiveness of programs.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Engages, collaborates, and communicates effectively with team members to ensure that data needed is identified and data dashboards and BI reports are built to support the clinical and business functions of the Center.
    • Works with program staff to evaluate program goals/outcomes using data collected and analyzed.
    • Serves as a member on the QA/CQI Committee identifying trends and patterns in data and making recommendations for areas of improvement based on analyses.
    • Utilizes information contained in the EHR, HRIS, ERP, focus groups, satisfaction surveys, and other tools to evaluate initiatives and program effectiveness.
    • Designs forms for receiving, processing, or tracking data.
    • Compiles and collects data to generate actionable reports.
    • Works with grant evaluation teams to monitor data and develop reports.
    • Adheres to confidentiality, HIPAA, and risk management policies and procedures including but not limited to completing Incident Reports.
    • Utilizes technology provided to perform job efficiently and effectively.
    • Makes recommendations for new technologies/software to promote growth and strategic development.
    • Participates in other functional work by participating in related projects, as applicable and directed by Center leadership.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    No direct supervisory responsibilities are required.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

    EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Previous experience in healthcare facility, with healthcare software, and/or electronic medical records preferred.
    • Demonstrates exceptional analytical skills and ability to create useful and actionable reports.
    • Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills, time management and organizational skills with the ability to complete multiple tasks and high volume of work while on a deadline.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
    • Must possess excellent computer skills.
    • Knowledge of HIPAA, previous training and\or related certification.
    • Aptitude to learn new tools, systems, and software.
    • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
    • Ability to solve practical problems, interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
    • Must be able to lift 25 lbs.

    EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, information technology, health sciences, data analytics, or related field.
