    In the role of Neonatal Nurse Specialist, this skilled nursing professional will provide leadership to an 84 bed, Level 4 NICU for the most critically ill babies. The Neonatal CNS will assist in providing the highest level of care to newborns and help provide patient and staff education. Further responsibilities include supporting the NICU RNs, leading with the best in evidence-based practices, and functioning as a resource and clinical expert in Labor and Delivery, Antepartum, Prenatal Care, Postpartum, OB OR, OB ED, and Nursery/Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU). Ensuring compliance and maintaining Magnet Recognition are also vital duties of the NICU CNS.

    Qualifications in this position include a California Registered Nursing License, a current and unrestricted license as an advanced practice registered nurse Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) with a Critical Care Nursing – Neonatal (CCRN-Neonatal- American Association of Critical Care Nurses) or Registered Nurse Certified in Neonatal Intensive Care (RNC-NIC-National Certification Corporation) certification preferred.
