The Director of S&T can be a seasoned IT/IS professional, or a mid-career individual with a proven track record, enthusiasm for the industry, and big ideas that are ready to roll their sleeves up.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director of S&T will be a key part of the leadership team with the ability to develop and articulate the technology roadmap across all markets. The position is considered the leader of the department and will oversee the creation and management of a reliable and secure IT infrastructure as well as effective, comprehensive IT support services, related technology strategies, operational standards, and daily management of our IT MSP.

Lastly, this role will be responsible for recommending and implementing information systems that allow for scalable, accessible, and meaningful business and operational insights- contributing to creating a tech-forward, patient-centered, best-in-class healthcare MSO. This position requires a thorough knowledge of the healthcare environment, HIPAA, and related regulatory requirements as well as a high degree of comfort with healthcare tech stacks and Saas solutions.

DIRECTOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Cross-departmental collaboration to develop, establish, and optimize IT infrastructure and IS solutions.
• Works with leadership to strategize, manage, integrate, and coordinate the overall IT/IS direction and strategy across multiple markets.
• Develop, or lead the development of, an enterprise data warehouse.
• Works collaboratively to influence decisions and outcomes and facilitates consensus.
• Builds and manages a comprehensive program management office supporting the entire IS organization.
• Ensures IS service delivery processes including maintenance, operational support, optimization, business continuity, and quality management / ITIL.
• Serves as the liaison between IS and other support departments and 3rd party vendors.
• Lead and support the IS Communication Plan including communication to the organization, as well as internally to IS staff.
• Maintains cost controls and recognizes efficiencies to grow organizational margins without sacrificing quality or patient care.
• Assist in establishing service level and vendor selection.
• Collaborate with Human Resources to implement strategies to grow and develop the IS workforce, including new and emerging skills needed.
• Assists with department-specific due diligence for pipeline targets and acquisitions.
• Acts as a member of the operational due diligence team; perform IT infrastructure assessments and asset inventory for new partner practices pre and post-close.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Experience in, or an understanding of, effective change management.
• Ability to build an IT/IS roadmap that is responsive, streamlined, and impactful.

• Travel up to 25% of the time.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required, preferably in computer science or a related field
• Master’s degree preferred in computer science or related field
• Evidence of progressively responsible IT operations and service leadership-related experience in a multi-site health system organization
• Demonstrated success and expertise in broad information technology healthcare leadership, including improving customer satisfaction, evaluating innovative advanced technology, managing fiscal performance, and partnering with clinical and business stakeholders
