The System Analyst Clinical 1position supports and maintains software applications that impact clinical areas, such as ambulatory clinics, IP hospital depts., pharmacy, and physician documentation. This role provides analytical and application support in the areas of planning, implementation, optimization, and maintenance of clinical operations. The Nursing System Analyst will work in a team environment, serving as an internal consultant to Mercy's Clinical Applications. The Nursing System Analyst will provide direct on-and-off site assistance to Mercy's Ambulatory and Inpatient practices, Homecare services and post-acute (transitional) settings in support of documentation and patient care activities when using information systems software applications. Electronic Medical Record support, implementation processes, needs assessment, implementation planning, training, go-live, optimization, and demonstration of meaningful use are some of the services provided by the Nurse System Analyst.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or other related field preferred; an equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered.7 years of direct experience as a system analyst required.
Certification and Licensure
MT(ASCP), CT(ASCP), LPN, Pharmacy Tech or required or other similarly recognized certifications.
Skills and AbilitiesExperience with and demonstrates competence in Microsoft Office Applications.Ability to work independently and be result oriented.Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to coordinate and prioritize tasks and project components.Ability to lead.Special Physical Demands
