    Job Overview: As an Information System Security Specialist, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the customer's information systems. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive data. This position requires a solid understanding of security protocols, risk management, and compliance.

    Responsibilities

    Duties:

    • Security Analysis and Recommendations:
      • Analyze existing security systems and identify areas for improvement.
      • Make recommendations to enhance security measures, policies, and procedures.
      • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement necessary changes.
    • Incident Response and Reporting: 
      • Prepare incident reports and action plans in the event of security breaches.
      • Investigate security incidents, assess impact, and recommend corrective actions.
      • Maintain accurate records of security incidents and resolutions.
    • Testing and Ethical Hacking:
      • Organize and conduct security tests, vulnerability assessments, and ethical hacks.
      • Evaluate the effectiveness of security controls and propose enhancements.
    • System Upgrades and Compliance:
      • Upgrade security systems regularly to stay competitive in the field.
      • Apply DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to configure systems.
      • Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and protocols.
    • Communication and Training:
      • Communicate system status, downtime, and changes to users and stakeholders.
      • Provide training to staff on security best practices.
      • Collaborate with other IT teams to address security-related challenges.

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • Bachelor’s degree in system administration, network security, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience in system support or security.
    • Knowledge of current security risks, protocols, and best practices.
    • Willingness to work on-call during security breaches or emergencies.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
