Clinical Information System Specialist provides on-site technical support to clinicians to ensure the proper and effective use of clinical information systems and improve the delivery of patient care. Assists users with system navigation, troubleshooting and patient monitoring issues. Being a Clinical Information System Specialist collaborates with leaders across functions and disciplines to plan, implement and evaluate the effectiveness of clinical systems and services. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Clinical Information System Specialist typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Clinical Information System Specialist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. The Town of Davie has transitioned to a four (4) day work week schedule (10 hours per day). Hours of work are Monday through Thursday either 7:00am-5:30pm or 7:30am-6:00pm.Under general supervision, encompasses technical responsibilities for the design, implementation, enhancement, maintenance and analysis of computer software systems, programs and operational routines. Is responsible for communicating intent of projects to computer users and advising on the most efficient method of computer system use. Reports to Information Systems Supervisor.Education and Experience:
REQUIRED:- Graduation from an accredited four (4) year college or university with a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a closely related field.
- Four (4) years of responsible experience in the field of Information Technology, including network and systems administration.
- Additional qualifying experience in a job related field, may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
- Possession and maintenance of a valid State of Florida Driver's License.
- The following certifications must be obtained within one (1) year of appointment into this position:
- VMware VCP 3 or higher.
- MCSE or Microsoft 365 Certified.
PREFFERED:- Experience with Microsoft Server platforms and technologies; with an emphasis on Windows Server 2012 and above, VMware, Hyper-V, 0365, Barracuda Web Filter and Archiver, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, Group Policy administration, File/Print Server administration, Dell Storage and Backup technologies.
- Experience managing and supporting the organization’s information security efforts.
- Working knowledge with deployment and maintenance of CISCO switches, routers, firewalls, etc.
REQUIRED:- Possession and maintenance of a valid State of Florida Driver's License
- May be required to work alternate hours-to include nights or weekends as necessary for the efficient operation of the department.
- Must pass a Level 2 background check which includes a credit check.
