Clinical Information System Specialist provides on-site technical support to clinicians to ensure the proper and effective use of clinical information systems and improve the delivery of patient care. Assists users with system navigation, troubleshooting and patient monitoring issues. Being a Clinical Information System Specialist collaborates with leaders across functions and disciplines to plan, implement and evaluate the effectiveness of clinical systems and services. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Clinical Information System Specialist typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Clinical Information System Specialist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.   • DESCRIPTION OF POSITION The Imaging Information Specialist is responsible for the system administration and monitoring of all components of the Enterprise Imaging System (EI) including, but not limited to, the EI desktop software, Voice Recognition, structured reporting, CD system, document scanning, etc. This position is responsible for the daily administrative tasks to ensure integrity of data and system reliability, accessibility and standardization. The Imaging Information Specialist has a high level of technical knowledge of the EI system and interdependent components including; system infrastructure, HL7 interfaces and DICOM protocols, and image acquisition devices. # QUALIFICATIONS # Professional/Educational Associates degree required, Bachelors degree highly preferred. Minimum 5 years imaging clinical experience required. Experience working with information systems related to Imaging Services required. Knowledge of clinical and operational workflows and interdependencies with the EI and the EHR. Strong project leadership, training, decision making, and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication skills both written and verbally. Ability to collaborate with other peers in the analysis and problem solving in situations.
