Responsibilities:
The Information System Security Officer (ISSO) supports the Information System Security Managers (ISSM) in the execution of cybersecurity programs. Develops guest network artifacts and assists in maintaining the organizational cybersecurity program. Duties include, drafting, reviewing and updating cybersecurity architectures, requirements, objectives, policies, and standard operating procedures. Maintains awareness of cybersecurity risk posture based on current threats. Ensures implementation of IT security measures and procedures, including reporting incidents to the ISSM and other designated reporting chains, and coordinating system level responses to unauthorized disclosures. Provide services and solutions that enable Cybersecurity and application-level monitoring capabilities. Participates in the integration (planning, testing, implementation, and securing) of current and future training systems in accordance with AFI 17-130 Cybersecurity Program Management, the entire DoDI 8500 series, and the full series of NIST 800 Special Publications.
