he Informatics Analyst develops, designs and supports clinical applications, solutions, and business processes to meet the operational, business and clinical application needs of the organization. Serves as a liaison between clinical operations, information services, system users and vendors regarding specialty focused clinical applications. Ensures effective systems operations by providing end user support and advanced clinical application training and communications. Evaluates, redesigns, and standardizes specialty workflows and processes to achieve department/site/organization goals and clinical success measures. This position requires the application of advanced, broad-based knowledge of clinical professional practice and theory, as well as the vision to act as a change agent in problem-solving across disciplines. This role reports to the Director of Clinical Informatics.
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to handle multiple tasks, set appropriate priorities and accomplish assignments in
thorough and timely manner. Must possess a strong attention to detail. Demonstrate ability to problem solve. Ability to work on a flexible schedule and/or irregular hours when needed. Ability to learn and apply new skills and concepts quickly. Advanced knowledge and ability in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access) or similar products. Demonstrate experience working with clinical and technical customers, peers, and management with demonstrated success in building relationships with physicians, nurses, and other clinicians. Understanding of reporting tools functionality and capabilities. Ability to function as the interface between clinicians and other technical experts, analyzing
business and clinical processes, and providing user advanced training/education.
EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree required. Requires 5 years of experience in system development. Experience in supporting similar clinical applications in healthcare setting preferred.
