Clinical Informatics Coordinator jobs in Virginia
Clinical Informatics Coordinator is responsible for the creation, implementation, and analysis of data and information systems required for patient care initiatives. Works with healthcare providers to identify useful clinical data and establish methods of collecting and storing it. Being a Clinical Informatics Coordinator performs analyses to create insights and identify patterns and areas for improvement. Communicates with providers and management to learn the organization's processes and priorities, and to provide takeaways in the most accessible and convenient way possible. Additionally, Clinical Informatics Coordinator typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Clinical Informatics Coordinator work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. This location offers a number of awarded inpatient and outpatient services including behavioral health, cancer care, surgical services, rehabilitative care, imaging and laboratory services, women’s health and pediatrics, critical care and emergency services, and much more.
Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Director Nursing Operations and Clinical Informatics is responsible for managing patient throughput, has oversight of nursing staffing, and data management for the system. The Director develops patient care strategies to implement system-wide, supports nursing teams by analyzing data, and ensures quality patient outcomes. The Director also has oversight of multiple inpatient units including transport services, central staffing and scheduling, nursing resources, and nursing informatics.
What Makes You Awesome:
- Registered Nurse RN license in the state of Maryland or ability to obtain
- Master’s degree in related setting highly desirable
- Progressive nursing leadership experience in acute care setting
