Clinical Informatics Coordinator jobs in Colorado

Clinical Informatics Coordinator is responsible for the creation, implementation, and analysis of data and information systems required for patient care initiatives. Works with healthcare providers to identify useful clinical data and establish methods of collecting and storing it. Being a Clinical Informatics Coordinator performs analyses to create insights and identify patterns and areas for improvement. Communicates with providers and management to learn the organization's processes and priorities, and to provide takeaways in the most accessible and convenient way possible. Additionally, Clinical Informatics Coordinator typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Clinical Informatics Coordinator work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Manager of Clinical Informatics and Applications

  • Valley View Hospital is looking for a Manager of Clinical Informatics and Applications to work in our IT department. 

    As the Manager you will:

    1. Leads a team of informaticists and staff in the pursuit of excellence in the delivery of electronic health records, measured not only by meeting functional requirements and achieving clinical operational objectives, promote software/product enhancements, user and staff training, and customer service.
    2. Works with the Executive Director in developing short-term and long-term information technology strategic plans and drive and manage the Clinical Informatics initiative for the organization. 
    3. Oversees the Clinical Informatics team which provides informatics services to the hospital.
    4. Acts as a liaison between clinical staff and the IT department, meeting to support clinical IT systems and clinical practice. Develops a high level of coordination between the complex technology environment, the IT staff, and contracted application support teams.
    5. Forms a partnership with our clinical vendors and strives to make VVH a model site for their clinical suite of products.
    6. Builds trust and a reputation of service delivery excellence with physicians, nurses, executives, clinicians and key stake holders.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

     Education:

    • Bachelor’s Degree required; master's degree preferred.
    • Current Colorado RN license

    Experience:

    • Knowledge of Word Processing software, Spreadsheet software, Development software, Internet software, Project Management software, Healthcare Informatics and Database software, clinical application dictionary level build and support tools.
    • At least 5 years’ experience in a hospital clinical setting

     Skills:

    • Demonstrated leadership skills: coaching, counseling, delegation, decision making, collaboration, direction, coordination, planning and goal setting.
    • Demonstrated project management skills: timeline development and tracking, planning, crisis management and team development and leadership.
    • Demonstrated change management skills: effective verbal and written communication skills, compassion, collaboration and planning.
    • Demonstrated interpersonal skills: diplomacy, goal setting, group processes, listening, written and oral communication.
    • Understanding of budget, finance and performance review

    SALARY RANGE

    • ‎$89,897.60 to $134,846.40/annually
    • Entry salary dependent upon education, skill set, and experience.
