Clinical Facilities Planning Manager manages professional services for assigned projects concerning design, construction, development, or installation of hospital buildings and facilities. Oversees all aspects of construction including progress, timing, costs and contracts. Being a Clinical Facilities Planning Manager directs construction, equipment installation, renovation and redesigning projects. Works with hospital departments to ensure design changes, equipment specifications/substitutions, purchasing and accounting procedures are in alignment with business objectives. Additionally, Clinical Facilities Planning Manager develops and designs feasibility studies for review. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Clinical Facilities Planning Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Clinical Facilities Planning Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Serving all of our locations, this employee can be based out of Fall River, Fairhaven, Plymouth, Wareham, Mashpee, or South Yarmouth. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that all CCI facilities provide a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for clients, families & guardians, guests and staff.  

     

    What You'll Do as the Facilities Manager:

    • Ensure and safeguard CCI consumers' human dignity, rights and liberties
    • Collaborate with managers to understand and meet the unique needs of each facility within budgeted resources
    • Create a positive relationship with landlords and their representatives and ensure clarity and accountability for landlord facility responsibilities
    • Identify, contract with and ensure high quality performance of cleaning and other contractors
    • Identify major repair or capital projects related to facilities, create a budget and work with the Chief Financial Officer and other managers to identify contractors and negotiate contracts
    • Project manage outsourced maintenance, repair, and upgrade projects related to facilities, ensuring high quality, timely and on budget results
    • In collaboration with facility Safety Committees, monitor the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas such as offices, conferences rooms, parking lots and outdoor spaces
    • Maintain day-to-day upkeep of facilities, identifying areas requiring maintenance and completing or contracting maintenance as needed
    • Perform routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed either by the manager or with the contractor
    • Ensure key equipment including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, security, and exercise equipment is well maintained and that faulty equipment is taken out of service and disposed of as needed

    What You'll Need as the Facilities Manager:

    • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED
    • Degree in related vocational field or equivalent hands on experience 
    • 3-5 years of facility management experience 
    • Valid driver's license, satisfactory driving record, and acceptable background check
    • Ability to lift up to 30lbs regularly, climb ladders, use power/manual tools
    • Strong computer and word processing skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently
