Clinical Facilities Planning Manager manages professional services for assigned projects concerning design, construction, development, or installation of hospital buildings and facilities. Oversees all aspects of construction including progress, timing, costs and contracts. Being a Clinical Facilities Planning Manager directs construction, equipment installation, renovation and redesigning projects. Works with hospital departments to ensure design changes, equipment specifications/substitutions, purchasing and accounting procedures are in alignment with business objectives. Additionally, Clinical Facilities Planning Manager develops and designs feasibility studies for review. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Clinical Facilities Planning Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Clinical Facilities Planning Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Job Description:

    RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervisory Responsibility
    • Supervise Custodians on a daily basis with regard to quantity and quality of work. Inspect all assigned areas frequently to insure that individual and building inspections meet service level quality standards, utilizing computer-aided inspection systems and other department-provided tools, etc. Supervise other related work as required.
    • Must have experience and be able to train employees on the proper use of floor care
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    • Sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub, and wax floors.
    • Machine shampoo carpeting.
    • Clean walls, vents, screens, furniture, drinking fountains, light fixtures, window blinds, brass, and other interior fixtures
    • Wash interior and exterior windows and glass doors.
    • Sweep entryways, empty exterior cigarette urns, and empty trashcans immediately outside building entrances.
    • Clean restrooms, plunger sinks, and toilets, and replenish supplies.
    • Change interior light bulbs that can be reached from the sixth step of a ladder or lower.
    • Complete work requests to notify management of needed repair work.
    • Remove snow and ice and apply salt and/or ice-melting products to assigned areas when needed.
    • Organize and supply custodial closets as needed.
    • Move, remove, and/or set up furniture, furnishings, supplies, equipment, and any other items, inside specified rooms for special functions as directed.
    • Additional job-related duties as required by the supervisor.
     
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Able to read, write and comprehend at a level appropriate to the duties of the position
    • Good interpersonal skills
    • Must be able to work with a diverse group of people
    • Willingness to learn
    • Criminal background check

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  
    Must be able to:
    • Lift up to 50 pounds
    • Ability to push, pull, stand, bend, stoop, and kneel
    • Walk up to 8 hours per day
    • Climb ladders, scaffolds up to 6’ high, and stairs
    • Able to use basic hand tools
