Clinical Facilities Planning Manager manages professional services for assigned projects concerning design, construction, development, or installation of hospital buildings and facilities. Oversees all aspects of construction including progress, timing, costs and contracts. Being a Clinical Facilities Planning Manager directs construction, equipment installation, renovation and redesigning projects. Works with hospital departments to ensure design changes, equipment specifications/substitutions, purchasing and accounting procedures are in alignment with business objectives. Additionally, Clinical Facilities Planning Manager develops and designs feasibility studies for review. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Clinical Facilities Planning Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Clinical Facilities Planning Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. This role will explore opportunities and avenues in the U.S. for new business in the research and clinical trials markets. In this position, the ideal candidate will develop account plans and strategies to gain business in multiple target industries in collaboration and partnership with Ascend Clinical Laboratory Operations team members.
                                                   
    Responsibilities:
    • Responsible for selling clinical research and trial services to potential partners within the United States.
    • Establishes, maintains, and strengthens client relationships at the appropriate levels. Generating, negotiating, and closing qualified opportunities through networking, cold calling, lead generation, strategic partnerships, and other avenues
    • Effectively communicate with potential partners to provide immediate follow-up on service requests, deliver high-impact sales presentations. Effectively utilize marketing materials and other company offerings and resources to educate existing and potential customers to build meaningful relationships.
    • Showcase Ascend Clinical’s capabilities to potential partners and convert to customers. Ability to differentiate Ascend Clinical from competitors
    • Creates and evaluates quotations for services and provides inputs to ensure customers and potential partners and company requirements are met. Managing the RFP processes when required
    • Provide input of business plans on the market vision through desk research (legislation, market demand, trends and developments, competitor analysis)
    • Maintain face-to-face contact with potential and current partners and develop multi-level and cross functional relationships with key partners to convert to long-term customers
    • Collaborates effectively with Ascend leadership to bring potential opportunities to their attention and to identify and win projects. Provides cross-functional support to other departments as required
    • Responsible for opportunity management and accurate pipeline forecasting. Owns the accountability and responsibility of delivering to customers and potential customers needs and timeliness

    Qualifications:
    • 5 years of sales, business development, or account management within the clinical research and/or trials field, demonstrating a successful track record of initiating and closing deals
    • Strong business acumen and a solid understanding of the complexities of the changing healthcare and pharmaceutical environments is critical. Strong understanding and background with clinical trial management and/or past work with contract research organizations is helpful.
    • Ability to build and execute sales and marketing plans that lead to consistent growth and a healthy pipeline
    • Proven success in prospecting, running virtual sales calls, and leading sales pursuits backed by a cross-functional laboratory operations team
    • Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills including the ability to establish credibility and develop professional working relationships with all levels of staff within the scientific, clinical, and business community
    • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
    • Ability to travel 30% /- of the time for client meetings, trade shows, industry meetings and events.
    • Competent computer skills, including MS Office
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated effective negotiation skills
    • Detail oriented, critical and analytical thinking skills, and problem-solving skills

    Compensation:

    - $125,000-$225,000 OTE
