Clinical Facilities Planning Manager manages professional services for assigned projects concerning design, construction, development, or installation of hospital buildings and facilities. Oversees all aspects of construction including progress, timing, costs and contracts. Being a Clinical Facilities Planning Manager directs construction, equipment installation, renovation and redesigning projects. Works with hospital departments to ensure design changes, equipment specifications/substitutions, purchasing and accounting procedures are in alignment with business objectives. Additionally, Clinical Facilities Planning Manager develops and designs feasibility studies for review. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management.     Location:

    Crown Beverage Packaging located in La Crosse, WI has 111 employees. Surrounded by stunning bluffs and lying alongside the mighty Mississippi River, La Crosse is home to over 20 miles of beautiful scenic trails. The plant is also located just minutes from the historic downtown which hosts unique shops, lively entertainment, museums, art galleries and more. La Crosse is close to major highways such as I-94 and the approximate distance from the La Crosse Airport is about 7 minutes.

    Position Overview:

    The Production Planning Manager will direct has the responsibilities to coordinate all production planning activities for the manufacturing operations. This individual will be involved with the daily activities of production, inventory, warehousing and distribution for the finished products produced in the plant. The ideal candidate for this position must be an advocate for production planning best practices and standardization.


    Duties And Responsibilities:

    Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the Production Planning Manager’s responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following:

    • Assist in developing Master Schedule requirements from demand forecast, plant capacity, and historical data
    • Interact with production and sales personnel to update and advise of progress and new developments
    • Manage volume and manufacturing location changes as needed to meet customer requirements
    • Monitor inventories of raw material, work in process, and finished good in an effort to minimize costs and achieve plant inventory goals
    • Oversee development and maintenance of tools that enhance production planning capability
    • Responsible for audits for compliance in department standards and practices
    • Assure inside sales and plants utilize the ‘system’ through on site auditing and clear tracking metrics
    • Maintain accurate needs attention inventory and implement measures for improvement.
    • Drive continuous improvement through training and strategic planning
    • Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned

    Job Requirements

    Qualifications:

    In addition to the specific responsibilities listed above, the ideal candidate will possess the following:

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, operations research, or related area
    • 5 years of experience in a production planning, logistics and materials handling
    • 3 years in a manufacturing environment
    • Approximately 10% travel
    • Must be available to work various shifts if needed and be able to work nights, weekends, and overtime to cover absences or provide additional support

    Preferred Requirements

    • Packaging industry experience
    • Certificates in APICS, CPSM, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing
    • Knowledge of AS400

    • Generally works in an office setting but will be required to perform some job duties inside a plant environment
    • While performing the duties of this job, the associate may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicular traffic
    • The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures
    • The noise level is frequently loud
