Provides guidance to the institutional ethics committee pertaining to policy formulation and educational and case review activities. Being a Clinical Ethicist develops institutional policies concerning ethical issues such as "do-not-resuscitate" and "withdrawal of life-support". Requires a master's degree or doctorate related to health ethics. Additionally, Clinical Ethicist typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. To be a Clinical Ethicist typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. The Hybrid Clinical Therapist with this highly-sought after healthcare system will be joining a skilled and welcoming team of advanced healthcare professionals. Responsibilities of this Therapist involve providing behavioral mental health diagnosis and assessment, treatment plans, and crisis intervention services for patients who present themselves with a large scope of mental health needs. The Clinical Masters prepared Therapist will be expected to function independently and engage in brief visits at a high volume and work closely with physicians and other medical care team members to devise a clear and individualized treatment plan that will contribute to the highest level of patient care. This Therapist will function on a hybrid work schedule with two days in office and the option for work four ten-hour shifts.
Qualifications for the Therapist include a current and active license to practice psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, and/or Clinical Social Work within six months of hire. This Clinical Therapist must also possess a Master’s degree in a mental health related field. Another preferred qualification includes experience in psychological evaluations, administering and devising psychological testing & assessments in a clinical setting.
