Provides guidance to the institutional ethics committee pertaining to policy formulation and educational and case review activities. Being a Clinical Ethicist develops institutional policies concerning ethical issues such as "do-not-resuscitate" and "withdrawal of life-support". Requires a master's degree or doctorate related to health ethics. Additionally, Clinical Ethicist typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. To be a Clinical Ethicist typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Reporting directly to the Director of Pharmacy, the Clinical Pharmacist will be responsible for providing pharmaceutical services throughout the hospital and different departments. They will compound and prepare medications including chemotherapy, supervise inventory levels, and collaborate with Physicians and Nursing Staff to provide Quality Patient Care.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience working in a hospital pharmacy setting, hold a Bachelor’s Degree or Higher in Pharmacy, and be a registered Pharmacist by the Nebraska Board of Pharmacy.
