An outstanding hospital in the Seattle area is in search of a new Labor and Delivery Clinical Nurse Educator. 

This hospital has earned numerous awards for units throughout their facility.  In addition, this 200 bed hospital is accredited in many areas, but notably has a glowing record in their Labor and Delivery Services.  This 5-star and top ranked hospital is state of the art and has earned multiple awards for collaboration efforts and quality and patient care. The Labor and Delivery Clinical Nurse Educator will join an organization with an outstanding reputation in the community and across the Pacific Northwest. 

The Labor and Delivery Clinical Nurse Educator will report directly to the Director of Education. Supported by other educators and nurse managers and directors working on educational efforts for their staff as well,  this person will help grow acute care staff throughout the facility to ensure safe and quality care is provided by all. 

The Labor and Delivery Clinical Nurse Educator will be in charge of conducting initial and continuing education learning needs assessments of individual nurses and groups of nurses within the Labor and Delivery Unit.  This involves keeping staff up to date with current best practices and making sure they are following guidelines set by the hospital. In addition, the position requires developing educational programs for nurses all along the spectrum of their careers that are creative and align with the hospital’s guidelines, needs, and budget. The Labor and Delivery Clinical Nurse Educator will also need to evaluate their educational programs upon completion to make sure the purpose and objectives are achieved.
