Clinical Educator is responsible for developing and delivering training programs for clinical health workers. Identifies professional development needs, facilitates training, and conducts in-service sessions. Being a Clinical Educator conducts research to stay current with health care regulations and best practices. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Clinical Educator requires certification as an instructor for both ACLS and BLS. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Clinical Educator occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. The RN Cardiac Nursing Educator will have a unique role that focuses on being the quality, safety, and education expert for the Cardiac OR. Duties will include new hire onboarding, policy development, procedure management, and continuing education of cardiac OR team members. They will round with staff to provide support and promote a safe environment where quality care is being provided.
The ideal candidate for the RN Cardiac Nursing Educator position will have their Bachelors Degree and 2 years of clinical nursing experience in a related field. A Nursing Professional Development certification and education/teaching experience are preferred but not required.
