The Inpatient Nurse Educator MedSurg will play a critical role in advancing the professional development and clinical competence of nursing staff within the medical-surgical department during the evening or night shift. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Assess the educational needs of nursing staff, students and others in order to plan and deliver orientation and continuing education.
• Evaluate clinical competencies to assure the highest quality clinical outcomes and safety.
• Ensure that nurses are in full compliance with regulatory standards. 
• Act as a role model to all staff.
• Identify potential collaborative community outreach projects

The ideal Inpatient Nurse Educator MedSurg candidate will have their BSN and years of previous clinical and teaching experience. A current New York RN license is required. Masters Degree preferred but not required. A competitive salary with 13% shift differential as well as a generous benefits package will be offered.
