Identifies professional development needs, facilitates training, and conducts in-service sessions. Being a Clinical Educator conducts research to stay current with health care regulations and best practices. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Clinical Educator requires certification as an instructor for both ACLS and BLS. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Clinical Educator occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. The Inpatient Nurse Educator MedSurg will play a critical role in advancing the professional development and clinical competence of nursing staff within the medical-surgical department during the evening or night shift. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
The ideal Inpatient Nurse Educator MedSurg candidate will have their BSN and years of previous clinical and teaching experience. A current New York RN license is required. Masters Degree preferred but not required. A competitive salary with 13% shift differential as well as a generous benefits package will be offered.
