Clinical Educator is responsible for developing and delivering training programs for clinical health workers. Identifies professional development needs, facilitates training, and conducts in-service sessions. Being a Clinical Educator conducts research to stay current with health care regulations and best practices. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Clinical Educator requires certification as an instructor for both ACLS and BLS. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Clinical Educator occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Reporting to the Manager of Sterile Processing, the Central Sterile Processing Educator will develop and implement educational programs for the central sterile department. The Central Sterile Processing Educator will assess staff as they prepare, sterilize, decontaminate, stock, and deliver surgical instruments.The Educator is an active member of the perioperative leadership team.
Requirements Include:
- Current CRCST or IAHCSMM certification
- 5-7 years of working experience in sterile processing
- Prior experience in education or leadership
