Clinical Educator is responsible for developing and delivering training programs for clinical health workers. Identifies professional development needs, facilitates training, and conducts in-service sessions. Being a Clinical Educator conducts research to stay current with health care regulations and best practices. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Clinical Educator requires certification as an instructor for both ACLS and BLS. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Clinical Educator occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Reporting to the Director of Neonatal Services, the NICU Nurse Educator leads department education and professional development initiatives. The NICU Nurse Educator will be responsible for being an expert in their field and will be a department resource for the NICU Leaders, NICU Nurses and support staff. The NICU Nurse Educator will coordinate department in-service meetings and staff training including new hire and new-to-department onboarding and orientation.
