Clinical Educator is responsible for developing and delivering training programs for clinical health workers. Identifies professional development needs, facilitates training, and conducts in-service sessions. Being a Clinical Educator conducts research to stay current with health care regulations and best practices. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Clinical Educator requires certification as an instructor for both ACLS and BLS. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Clinical Educator occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. St. Lukes Health System in Boise is seeking a Full Time Clinical Educator to join our Clinical Learning and education team to support the pre- and post-acute care, (Ambulatory, Community, Oncology, Non-oncology infusion, Specialty) Pharmacy staff.
Unit/Position Summary
The Clinical Educator provides education focused at the point of where care is delivered; responsible for Pharmacy educational programs and processes in assigned areas.
Practice transitions: For assigned areas, may manage and/or oversee the competency process in collaboration with clinical leaders, manages orientation process to align with system standard, ensures preceptor competence, and ensures successful transition of new employees to Practice in assigned areas. Coaches clinical staff to ensure Practice meets system standards.
