Clinical Educator is responsible for developing and delivering training programs for clinical health workers. Identifies professional development needs, facilitates training, and conducts in-service sessions. Being a Clinical Educator conducts research to stay current with health care regulations and best practices. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Clinical Educator requires certification as an instructor for both ACLS and BLS. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Clinical Educator occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. The Nurse Educator will join an advanced nursing education team that collaborates on all system education initiatives. The Critical Care Nurse Educator will oversee the educational activities for the Intensive Care and Intermediate Care units. The Nurse Educator is expected to serves as a subject matter expert and will provide training to all nurses within the designated departments. The Nurse Educator will utilize evidence-based practices and will emphasize the highest quality of patient-centered care.
The Nurse Educator will report to the Director of the Center of Learning and Organizational Development and will also collaborate with the Director of Inpatient Services to outline unit specific goals and objectives. The Nurse Educator must have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of nursing, Master’s degree is preferred. At least 3-5 years of prior critical care educator or training experience is required.
