Clinical Educator is responsible for developing and delivering training programs for clinical health workers. Identifies professional development needs, facilitates training, and conducts in-service sessions. Being a Clinical Educator conducts research to stay current with health care regulations and best practices. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Clinical Educator requires certification as an instructor for both ACLS and BLS. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Clinical Educator occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Pay Range: $44.34 - $71.60

    The clinical educator is a registered nurse with expertise in education who influences professional role, competence and professional growth of nurses in a variety of settings. The clinical educator serves as an educator, change agent, facilitator, consultant and researcher. The Clinical Educator supports the development of bedside nurses and fosters empowerment through knowledge and skills to achieve excellence through the delivery of evidence-based nursing practice.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree - Nursing, and
    • Master's Degree - Nursing. Or equivalent educ/experience
    • Actively enrolled in program, projected completion 18 months from date of hire.
    • Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire.
    • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
    • 3 years related clinical experience in area of specialty.
    • Adult Education – course development

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Certification in nursing core specialty.
    • Formal educator experience.
    • Leadership experience.
    • Simulation (high-fidelity and low-fidelity experience).
