Clinical Educator is responsible for developing and delivering training programs for clinical health workers. Identifies professional development needs, facilitates training, and conducts in-service sessions. Being a Clinical Educator conducts research to stay current with health care regulations and best practices. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Clinical Educator requires certification as an instructor for both ACLS and BLS. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Clinical Educator occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Responsibilities

    Assesses, researches, coordinates/facilitates, implements, and evaluates educational and professionaldevelopment programs, services and systems as established by CHI Health nursing division and/orcampus leadership.2. Acts as role model, clinical nursing expert, change agent, mentor, and leader to the campus and CHIHealth nursing division.3. Serves as a consultant for organizational, divisional, and system initiatives and program developmentas related to nursing practice.4. Actively seeks out evidence based practice and findings and applies to clinical excellence and education.5. Provides clinical expertise and leadership to quality improvement initiatives.6. Coordinates and facilitates nursing transitions to practice and ongoing professional developmentthrough support of central onboarding, clinical orientation, nurse residency, fellowships, competencyassessment, and preceptor and mentor programs.7. Contributes to the development and maintenance of educational tools and resources, integrating adultlearning theories, organizational development principles and system approach.

    Required Licensure and Certifications
