The Nurse Educator Labor Delivery will have the opportunity to work for a 300 bed, Magnet designed acute care hospital located in Maryland. The Nurse Educator Labor Delivery will join a fast paced Women and Children Services department which is home to theirLabor Delivery, Mother Baby and Level III NICU. Responsibilities of the Nurse Educator Labor Delivery include partnering with the Director of Women and Children Services and Nurse Manager Labor Delivery to develop evidence-based guidelines, policies and procedures, identify learning needs of the unit to create curriculum and programs offered to new hires and current department staff, and coordinate new hire orientation. Additionally, the Nurse Educator will cross collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other nurse leaders and educators, update policy procedures, ensure state and regulatory compliance is maintained throughout the unit, and ultimately be a resource and mentor to the Labor and Delivery team. 

Ideally the Nurse Educator Labor Delivery will be up to date on best practices, offer a clinical background working in a fast paced Labor Delivery department, and have previous hospital-based management experience.
