Being a Clinical Educator conducts research to stay current with health care regulations and best practices. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Clinical Educator requires certification as an instructor for both ACLS and BLS. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Clinical Educator occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. The Surgical Services Nurse Educator will serve as the department orientator and preceptor, operate as a researcher and leader, assess the skills of nursing staff, coordinate with department leadership, identify areas of improvement, and ensure all education plans adhere to state and federal nursing standards.
