Clinical Educator is responsible for developing and delivering training programs for clinical health workers. Identifies professional development needs, facilitates training, and conducts in-service sessions. Being a Clinical Educator conducts research to stay current with health care regulations and best practices. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Clinical Educator requires certification as an instructor for both ACLS and BLS. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Clinical Educator occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Hours: Full Time (36 Hours Weekly) Day Shift

    Participates in the assessment, development, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive network of educational programs and activities supporting Perioperative, in addition to general education needs for the facility. Assures the use of appropriate educational technology and adult learning methodology to increase knowledge, skills, and competencies.

    This includes, but is not limited to: validating required educational needs and competencies for staff; developing training programs and processes; ensuring staff education records are maintained; and, keeping facility leadership team informed of staff education needs.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.

    • Alaska Registered Nurse License upon hire.

    • Certification within area of expertise or practice as available (Professional Development) within 6 months (180 days) of hire.

    • 2 years of related experience in the health care field and/or education experience with groups and individuals.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master's Degree
