Reporting to the Director of Oncology, the Nurse Manager Oncology will help direct and coordinate the overall functions of a large, multi-physician office to ensure cash flow while improving patient, physician, and other customer relations. This leading Medical Oncology clinic and Infusion Center provides on-site care and treatment including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and hormone therapy.
The Oncology Nurse Manager will provide professional nursing care, developing and initiating plan of care with patients and families as well as recommending interventions. Responsibilities of the Nurse Manager Oncology will also include correlating patient history and support systems within hospital care/nursing home care and assessing the learning needs of patient and family.
Supported by a team of LPNs, Nursing Assistants, HUCs, techs, and board-certified, fellowship-trained medical oncologists, the Oncology Nurse Manager will demonstrate competence in performing critical skills to include appropriate delivery of care according to the age-specific needs of the population served. The Nurse Manager will also review clinical performance with the unit leader or clinical instructor.
