Queries databases, creates reports and analyzes data to comply with regulatory reporting requirements and support improvements in clinical effectiveness. Being a Clinical Data Specialist defines and tests new measures, validates data, and takes steps to automate and improve the data collection process. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Clinical Data Specialist typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Clinical Data Specialist gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. This organization provides access to world-class acute care services to a population of roughly 14,000 people. The inpatient services provided include cardiology, emergency medicine, orthopedics, and wound care. This system also provides various outpatient services including laboratory procedures, physical therapy, occupational therapy, radiology, chemotherapy, same-day surgery, cardiac and pulmonary rehab, nutritional counseling, home health, and respiratory care.
Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, the RN Specialist Clinical Informatics will lead the design, configuration, testing, and implementation of various changes in the Electronic Health Systems. The RN Specialist will oversee system support and troubleshooting, manage data collection, perform quality analysis of provided care, and communicate and collaborate with leadership regarding departmental goals and customer service.
What Makes You Awesome:
- Minimum 3-5 years of clinical experience required
- Registered Nurse RN or equivalent clinical experience
- Strong knowledge of electronic health information systems
