Responsibilities:
· Manages day-to-day activities required to support CCU Project
· Partners with DOE integrator to conduct refresh site surveys to gather requirements for integration, cabling work and network: electrical, hardware for LAN/ WAN/ Wireless to be integrated
· Manage DOE vendors in the field, ensuring all goals are met
· Coordinates, directs, and oversees integration work at each refresh site
· Coordinates external on-site meetings with schools and vendors as it relates the site’s refresh
· Complies documentation for site refresh records including but not limited to site surveys, BOM (bill of material) requirement validation
· Documents risks, issues, and updates status and resolutions for DOE program manager
· Serves as representative and point of contact to the DOE Senior Program Manager of overall CCU Project
· Keeps and maintains DIIT’s central repository for CCU related project documents
· Updates project related documents, as needed, and provides complete documentation in order to ensure DOE fiscal responsibilities are adhered to, and all Capital responsibilities are met
Mandatory Skills
The successful candidate must have minimally achieved the following level of experience:
· Minimum of 6 years of Project Management experience in the Data network industry
· Minimum of 6 years of onsite Field Project Management of Network Infrastructure Installation and Deployment projects
· Minimum of 5 years of Customer Service and Client facing experience, interacting with end users and vendors in the field
· Minimum of 6 years of experience with documenting project deliverables
· Minimum of 5 years of experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Visio, Excel, Projects).
Desirable Skills/Experience
· Bachelor’s Degree or a Master’s degree in computer science/ telecommunications from an accredited college
· Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Ability to communicate in a credible and confident manner at all levels in the organization especially on technical issues to a non-technical audience.
